every time I type in red string of fate, or something along those lines the rest is all fan fictions and art. :/ but it's used a lot in manga's and anime's. in shoujo's mostly.

well the glomp had its kinks too(still has some) so if this starts out rusty but good it might just become a big hit. I've seen some cosplays involving red string as well. and don't worry turbo we'll make the string short enough so you won't trip. besides its not like we're going to keep the people tied together all day, unless they want. ^_^

So the rules would be half the group is blindfolded, girls or guys, we'll decide then. The blind people have a string on their finger, while the other line calls out directions or they just march forward and feel for a hand to tie on.

I'd say both. they can either call out directions or just wait. I want to see how good people are really if they can do it without directions. and then again when people are yelling directions how are the blindfolded suppose to know who's voice is whose?

well I was thinking either we mix up people or those that came with people(friends, family, love) can be paired with them. but then that would leave people out. I'm not if that would work to well either. someone might get paired with someone they don't like.

As I said, first of all calling out directions might allow the un-blind to choose favorites, and second of all no one's paired up, you pick an equal number of girls and guys and line them across from each other. let's assume the guys are blindfolded and the girls call or wait for the guys to come to them. Though there needs to be something the extra people can get for participating if they don't end up with someone.

Thats why I thought of the whole people who come in couples probably want to stay as couples. Because if we just go with people choosing whoever, we wouldn't have a winner because almost everyone would probably tie to somebody. so maybe pairing them up before would be good. I'm still deciding on prizes and I'm not sure what I could do for all participants. I think it would be good if we did several rounds to get a feel for the game and to have multiple winners or something like that. Nikki said earlier to idea of separating people by female and male characters so you get guys and girls on one side, not just the same sex. we're not here to actually hook people up but if they meet someone good for them. :3 choosing your partner is the way to win. there will be prizes for those that get close to it and that at least tied themselves to someone.

well, that's still where the question comes in: how serious is this game going to be? I mean it's celebrating the legend not trying to put it into effect right? So if a couple came then yes they'd be split into the lines and "might" end up with each other. Or they might end up with someone different. In the end they're still BF/GF or whatnot. Though all the single people can take it seriously or for fun if they want. If everyone wanted to, we could take turns for each side. Have the girls be blind and the guys be tied onto and so on.

everyone gets a turn for sure. so you could actually like the person you get tied too, you might just want to be friends with them. what happens, happens. I just for the most part everyone has fun.

Ya this all just should be fun. That why people come to theses events is to have fun. Couples should know that the red string game is just for fun and is not some statement or some sign.

Well I'm going to try and get Soubi done by then, or at least get the wig and the right kind of glasses. The Christmas money I get this year from my dad is what's going to pay for two wigs already. So I'll probably just buy another one.

I love Youji. He is my favorite from that series. I might buy a new wig for him though. The one I have would still work but it gets tangled very easily and is a little bit of a pain in the ass. I can't brush it without strands coming out but I can with the other wigs I have (from a different company)

I know my Axel wig was a pain to keep detangled. But that was back when I first bought it. It was down to my butt, and I let Steven wear it around Sakuracon. By the time he got back it was all tangled. It took me hours to get it detangled. Although, now it doesn't have that problem anymore, probably because it's a lot shorter now.

I'm gonna try my hardest to keep my Soubi wig untangled when I get it, but I only have two wig heads and three wigs. ~ ~ Soon to be six. x.x

this is the reason why I think it is a bad idea. I doubt a lot of the people there will want to keep the person they are tied to in mind. I keep trying to explain this but it seems like people aren't getting it. I am not going to participate just because I don't want some guy following me around the whole party thinking I am his soul mate.
