Not if you know how to sew or know someone who can sew.

@Higuma- pick a favorite anime and choose characters from that.

I started right after kcon 08, mainly because school started and I talked with my friend and knew what we would cosplay as...I just got so excited about it, that I wanted to start right away. Plus, it makes it easier to get them done early so you can plan for other cosplays, and possiblly get them done in time for the con.

wow i tried to sew once but it ended pretty badly but my mom know how to sew so i will ask her to help me but if i cant do it i guess i'll just have to buy an outfit but thats no problem..

ordering your costume makes sure if you need something else to add to it or getting it resized and w/e so its perfect FOR THE CON XD better to get it done early then last minute

i mean yea i guess i will order it now but there is plenty of time cause sakura con is like in april which gives me plenty of time to save up but after that i have to save up again for kumoricon but thats all the way in september o God i have to work overtime just to save up enough.

This next paycheck will be the biggest I'll get in a while so I may use it for the costume and save all the little ones for the con itself. Also my tax return will help out a lot.

Yeah I am. I am lucky enough to have someone else renting the hotel room for me. So all I have to do is pay for the room and drive my friends up there

being in college is nice. My parents don't really care what I do as long as I get good grades. Plus I am old enough to make my own choices.

I think I will get to take my mom's cars. I have a car of my own but it only seats two and my moms car seats 7

I will be wearing Albel for one of those days and I would have a hard time wearing that costume on a bus >_> That is one reason why I am not staying at a friends house and instead staying at a hotel

Yeah, makes sense. My costumes aren't too bulky and are easy to move around and sit, etc...Plus, it's just more fun to see all the reactions of the people there. It won't be too bad on the MAX, especially once I get closer to Portland XD

Yes, it really is. I have never not stayed in the hotel, but I don't think I'd ever want to. It is just too convenient not to stay (in my opinion).

I've worn Greed on trimet a few times before..it is interesting. Mainly to meetings but at kcon '05 I took trimet to and from the con wearing it...got a lot of looks <.<

Hotel rooms are very nice to have, but when you only live 30 min away and don't have the money, it just doesn't make sense...

I would ride Trimet by myself if I had to, which I do...At least on the bus it'll just be me. Though a friend might come over and join me...In his Sora cosplay!

I live about 15 minutes away but I am still going to get a hotel room. I don't want to drive back to my house if I need to shower, or if I want to wear a different costume. And I wont be so sleep deprived
