I have five cosplays i'm planning... and I'm thinking of adding another making six... D: and it's expensive to boot! (fabric alone should be about 100 bucks)

and then of course where will i wear them all besides Kumoricon? O_o *sighs*

so how much do you guys think is to much?

To me there's no such thing as too many! I'm doing around 10 and I already have 3 completely done

well it depends I guess. I'm doing 5 for scon. kcon I'm doing like 8 but 3 of those are only gonna be warn for about 15 minutes.

there is an award for wearing the most costumes during con though. XD

Nikki: see thats what i'm thinking... shadow is just for friday, and peach is just for meetups cause i would be a bit embaressed to be playing a princess x.x;;; *not princess type* which would leave me three, so that would give one cosplay for each day... but i really wanna do this new one x.x

I personally don't like to spend so much time getting ready that I miss a lot of events or fun photo ops. Plus, you can spend a lot more time perfecting fewer cosplays than one might with many. Well, unless if you're rich and can commission someone else to do all of the dirty work

I'm only bringing two, maybe three to Sakura.
Bringing that many honestly seems like a huge pain in the wallet >,<
I'd just save the rest of your ideas for another con. Hey! And with fewer cosplays to pay for, you can also attend more cons >:]

Yeah and after I put so much work into a costume I really like to show it off. I like to get my picture taken and I can't do that with lots of costumes if I have to change every few hours

I generally feel that 1 costume per day is best, particularly if you has costumes that take a while to put on. 2 per day is managable depending on what you have, 3 per day is crazy unless they're all super easy to get out and into.

Personally, I try to stick to the "one a day" rule. However, I think if you have a costume that's just for a shoot or event, or perhaps you just want to wear it a while but not all day because it's too hot or too heavy, then it'd be managable to bring a costume to change out of for that day.

After all, if you only have one or two costumes and end up wearing a costume for more than one day it can get pretty smelly from all the running around and constant wear.

So, my vote: One a day is perfect, 4 costumes is just fine, 5... sounds a little hectic, but managable depending on the outfits. And 6 really does sound like it would hamper con-time with all the time devoted to changing.

Whenever I find I have a million cosplays I want to do and only one con to premiere them at I just remember: Cosplay = Money. XD;

well its still sometimes good to bring at least 4-5 considering you never know whats gonna happen to the one your wearing. it might get damaged or a friend might need to borrow one for a bit(if they can fit in it). so it's always good to be prepared.

I have way to many I want to do really. but I haven't really added onto the to do list for awhile so I have a feeling after I get through them I'll have nothing left to do. and then I'll have costumes to wear to meetups and cons for years to come.

Yeah, wig caps make my hair look retarded *thinking of hair at The Sants' Mew concert* As of right now the only other con I'm going to for sure is KCon but if I could go to another one I'd be able to space out my cosplay better. But I'd totally try for a most-cosplay award xD

i like to make one costume and carry that one over to the next con with a new costume or two. and only carry on of the new two over to the following con and retire the 2 con used one.(of course i'm also making one costume a con for a friend)

I would stick with the one a day factor. Unless you have a cosplay for a skit, panel, or dance, I think more than three is just too many...

I say however many you can manage. If you're a super-talented ninja of the wardrobe and hairdressing, you should show it off! If you suck like me, it's two to four.

the way things are working out me thinks Lavi is gonna be dropped and replaced with my other one..... wich gives me me four cosplays, (not inclueding peach who is a meet up only outfit)

Having a bunch of cosplay is actually more fun to me than only doing one a day. And I'll have a hotel room at KCon to stash them all in

I guess four wouldn't bee too bad. For those that have lots of cosplays I would suggest one that is normal/comfortable clothes. So if you get tiered and or sore you can change into it

I would think the only good way to have more than one a day would be if you have a hotel room there, so you're not carrying everything around.

If you're like me who's taking the MAX there, I wouldn't try to have multible cosplays. It'd just be too much to handle. Unless you have a friend who has a room that you could borrow...

Since I'll have a room that's no problem. And I don't know if any of my cosplay are particularly extravagant, I would like to start making props for them though. Wow I'll probably need an entire suitcase for just cosplay at Kcon xD

I plan on having a room as well. I just don't want the extra work of making lots of costumes. If I were to wear more than one a day they would be ones that are already made

god, I had to carry everything around this year. I got to stash stuff in a friends room for about an hour or so then had to carry it around again. Thank god I'm getting a room this year. I'm hanging them all in the closet to keep nice and safe.

I'll agree with everyone that if you don't have a room at the hotel or a near by hotel don't plan a bunch of cosplays. then you'll wish you hadn't. X3X

thanks, hes likely to survive, prostate cancer doesnt kill very often at all, but recovery time is long.... i'll be at home mostly during the 6 months recovery period (it;s 4 to 6 they said.... hoping its not six but plan for the worst) early time i need to be with him a lot, rest of the time its more like i'm there in case something goes wrong....

but it east into a bit of summer which worrys me slightly meetup wise

and i'ms ure some one will get ahold of me xD a few people know my cell number already
