On cosplay.com though watch for scam artists. Someone who was supposed to commission a few wigs for me took my money and ran. I lost $220 from that.

Yeah, coscom is pretty good for stuff like that.

Don't go to Limebarb. She is a con artist of one of the worst degrees.

Limebarb is a scammer? That's pretty scary, she spams her stuff in the marketplace all the time so she may have conned a bunch of people >.<

yeah, like...how? is she not doing commissions she gets paid for or what?

i mean i have looked at her site and its kinda obvious that the stuff she does for herself is WAY better than the stuff she sells.  which makes sense, most people probably cant afford/don't want to pay for that level of craftsmanship.

what i disagree with is it seems she lures people in with pics of what shes done for herself and her friends, and then the quality she produces for commission work is nothing like what people may have been expecting.

Her stuff's pretty expensive too, that'd be a bummer.

LimeBarb pretty much, according to the reviews I've read on various websites, promises you gold and gives you crap. D:

I'd be willing to pay for commisions too, likely take a couple months before I can save up a few hundred dollars to do so.

Yeah, don't go to Limebarb, whatever you do! I have personal experience with them, and they completely ripped me and my sister off.. If anything, the only thing I gained from the whole experience was a lesson (never buy a cosplay that's 900 dollars - I had to learn the hard way T-T), and a decent Hikari no ken.

I'm looking for commissions too, for a Gourry cosplay, so I might hang out in here too - if you don't mind. I tried getting ahold of QQ cosplay (because I've shopped with him before and I like his cosplays), but I haven't gotten a reply yet (it's been longer than a week). I'l just see what I can find... I just want a perfect Gourry cosplay, is that too much to ask? Probably, actually.. xD

Oh, and I found this place from ebay called cosplay-design.net, and it looks really good. Has anyone bought from them before? Their stuff looks really nice and seems to be fairly cheap, so... *Scratches chin*

Paypal will only get your money back up to like two months after paying the seller, so make sure delivery date is before that! (a mistake I learned).

Yeah be careful for commissions. I was scammed $280 dollars, and still haven't been refunded, that was two years ago. I highly doubt now that I ever will.
I can give her name too, never ever again::

          (Virginia Lynch) AnnTetsusaiga@aol.com

But you never know they might have changed their emails etc. So be careful.

Yes, be very careful and watch the days go by when waiting for your item to come from ebay. If it takes especially longer than the predicted delivery time take action! I lost a good deal of money because I tried to communicate with the seller (some big time seller out of China) who didn't return my messages and by the time I realized paypal could help it was too late.

For props I have gotten quotes, but haven't purchased yet, from this guy:
http://www.fantasyprops.com/main.html

I haven't sensed anything inky with him, but better safe than sorry.

Also, I have purchased a wig from pinkrandomattack before and it was very nice. =)

I just wanted to post a costume I listed onto cosplay.com. It is Mew Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew. It was worn once for photos and never again. Trying to sell it to make room in my sew/costume storage.

I plan to start taking commissions at some point though real soon. Once I have more time.
