Baby Jane dress?
« on: January 20, 2009, 09:06:46 pm »

I don't even know where to begin with the dress. D: I can barely manage stitching together rips in my jeans, let alone making something. So my best bet is to buy something like it.

Preferably, it would cost under twenty dollars. I've scoured thrift shops to no avail, so it seems a cheaply-made new one will have to do. Has anyone seen anything like this? I figure I can exercise a little imagination -- no self-respecting splicehead would show up to a party in the same dress that everyone else is wearing.

i really think if you hit the thriftstores/goodwill hard you could find something very much like that (pre-distressing of course) it looks a LOT like those old late 70s-early 90s cocktail/prom dresses that used to be a dime a dozen at goodwill. recently people have been....recycling that kinda thing and trying to pawn it off as "designs" in portland shops so they are a little harder to find than they used to be.
