Another scene-stealing, surprise-ending kind of line:
One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires.
Clue: Spoken by the character you were least expecting to say something like that (the first time you saw this classic).
Lost Boys, Said by the Grandpa
*applauds* *jumps up & down* *squeals*
a guy I used to date stole my vhs copy
still one of my all-time faves of childhood!
here's a quote from another; guess which!
I know I'm old enough to be his mother, but when the Duck laid that kiss on me last night, I swear my thighs just went up in flames! He must practice on melons or something.
Now there's one word in that quote that should totally give it away, to anyone who's ever seen the movie. Here are more clues, though:
(a) The film produced one of my favorite soundtracks; I still listen to it.
(b) All the major stars of the film, including the person who speaks these words and the person about whom they are spoken, and the two members of the other prominent pairing in the film, all ended up with major careers in TV shows and/or mini series (in addition to whatever they did in film).
and fyi, the character about whom the above quote was made was a major role model for me growing up. I still identify with that character!
I mean, who hasn't gone through a feelings rollercoaster like this (said by the character the above quote is about):
Well, that's very nice. I'm glad. Well here's... here's the point, Andie. I'm not particularly concerned with whether or not you like me, because I live to like you and... and I can't like you anymore. So... so when you're feeling real low and... and dirty, don't look to me to pump you back up 'cause... 'cause... 'cause maybe for the first time in your life I WON'T BE THERE!
