LOL!!!
A situation emerges in which Van Damme has to use the types of skills his film alter-egos would use to save his or others' lives.
You would think the patron saint of bean curd would be some famous animal-protecting vegetarian, maybe St. Francis of Assisi. But no. Hey, if Killer Tomatoes can be a movie villian, why not the protector demon of tofu?

Really? Nothing in a couple days? Are we out of quotes in play? Well I'll toss my hat into the ring then:
(I'll even make it be from an anime movie in hopes of appealing to new players as well as thread veterans!)

Before you part from this world, can you tell me something? I am already dead since Titan and this world the butterflies are showing me... Is it a dream? Or is their world the real one and the world where I was, the dream? I don't know.

8 Heads in a Duffle Bag?

Since no one has done anything for over a week, I am going to post a quote, and see if anyone bothers to guess. I am going to just use something familiar, just to see if anyone has seen movies I have seen.

Top Gun. Maverick to Goose. I have been to many of the places in that film, including Miramar NAS, they have good chow there, if you are Navy.

FYI, I have never knowingly watched a Troma film. Sorry. Even if I do know of the Toxic Avenger.

YES!!! Movies by *real men* about times and places where men were REAL MEN.
No quiche-eaters, vegans, recyclers, bicycle commuters,
nor Alan Alda or Woody Allen need apply!

RED RIVER. JOHN WAYYYYNE. A-yup!

NEXT REAL MAN MOVIE QUOTE:
And a hint up front - it's got Lee Marvin & Ernest Borgnine:

Quote from: Movie quote:
Hey kid you got no class. Hit the bumps, kid. Run like the devil.
Get a tin can and take up mooching. Knock on back doors for a nickel.
Tell them your story. Make 'em weep. You could have been a meat-eater, kid.
But you didn't listen to me when I laid it down.
But stay off the tracks - forget it. Its a bum's world for a bum.
You'll never be [MOVIE TITLE DELETED], kid.
You had the juice, kid, but not the heart and they go together.
You're all gas and no feel, and nobody can teach you that, not even [MAIN CHARACTER].
So stay off the train, she'll throw you under for sure.
Remember me for that. So long, kid...

Tell, ya - I am gonna rent that one again soon!

Edit: Oh and another fun point: a large chunk of the movie was filmed in or near Cottage Grove, OR.

I'll start by saying - I'm 26 and really shouldn't know this quote - but I do

Emporeror of the North Pole - right be before A No 1 tosses Shack off the train.

I'm also very partial to Shack's line - Now I'm going to show you what happens to people who ride my train with out a ticket.

Another Man's Movie Quote

Any man failing to report to duty will be promptly hanged. Amen.

Way to go, Pepito!
Movie isn't all that old (1973) compared to the 40s and 50s flicks recently slung around in this thread.
'Shack' is  Borgnine, "A-Number-1" is Lee Marvin, and the 'kid' is played by an actor named Carradine, but it's not David Carradine.
Can't remember.

IIRC, Shack actually gets killed fighting A-1, then when the 'kid' gloats about about how great it was that 'we' sure showed him, so ol' Lee Marvin flips him off the train over a rail bridge, and delivers his parting warnings as the train disappears around a bend. I always found that a very lonely, chilling scene;
for someone older (and supposedly wiser and more experienced) than you to say:

a) you suck, you've failed, and
b) there's something missing from you that will prevent you from ever achieving your dream.

Quote
"Right turn, Clyde"
is that 'Bonnie and Clyde?'

SHORT QUOTE, CLASSIC MOVIE:

"There's your confirmation."
(Actor drops binoculars from face...)

(Parodied in a 'king of the Hill' episode...)

'Patton?'

I know there's a comic relief scene with the General telling the priest to 'pray for a break in the fog** - and that's an ORDER."

(**or for good flying weather, I forgot the EXACT quote)

BTW, one of my favorite scenes in 'Patton' is with him walking about the Roman ruins, with the short trumpet phrases echoing over each other as they fade. GREAT use of music - more GHOSTLY than many creepy/paranormal movie scenes by far...
...and one of my favorite lines is "I READ YOUR G&%D-D#$$%M BOOK, ROMMEL!"

Actually I was thinking more the first Philo Beddoe film, Every Which Way But Loose. But the line was used in all the films, so....

"Non!" It was the only word spoken in the entire film. Of course by a mime.

"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way"--Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

"What's the buzz, tell me what's-a happenin'"--sung in Jesus Christ Superstar.

"Non", sole audible line in movie, spoken by a mime"--Silent Movie. (Love that movie. Oh and I used to walk my aunt's Norwegian elkhound, Jack, past Mel Brooks' home, and he'd poop on their lawn. We never dissuaded him, figuring Mel would just find it funny.)

I'm so glad this thread is back. :)

I'll come back on today with quotes :) Don't know of many "macho" movies:)

I just started watching a new anime series one of the Anime Friday members was telling me about.  I read this line on the fansub and just had to share it.

Main Character: Ruriko-chan, watch me.  I'll do what the Love Me Section is supposed to do.
Ruriko: What do you mean?
Main Character: Oh, my!  Have you forgotten my job?  My job is to make a shadow and protect you from the sun, right?  So...  What I mean is that, even if you are in showbiz, I'll send you someplace where the sun doesn't shine.

Such a nice play on words.  I love it!

Here are a couple quotes from a movie that utterly wierded me out.....

and (same film)

@Rem

Sorry I didn't scroll up far enough

That is from In the Mouth of Madness, which is one of my all time favortie movies. Kind of an obscure scence, but I love when Sam Neil is driving at night and he closes his eyes for a second and when he opens them its full daylight.
