Chapter 1
From the first time that Jill had actually met Sahara she always felt that she wanted to be with her. They had become good friends by talking online and found that they had tons in common with each other. They both loved talking to each other, generally about nothing at all.
They had arranged to meet up one Saturday for the first time with a bunch of their friends. Jill was nervous with anticipation the whole time. Would Sahara still be the same? Would Sahara ever be able to like her back? As soon as they saw each other Jill rushed into Sahara's arms because she was starting to feel weak. Here was this beautiful girl that she had become close friends with, but she just couldn't tell her how she actually felt. The time they spent together was the most amazing few hours of Jill's life. She just couldn't let go of Sahara. She was the most perfect girl she had ever known and Jill never wanted it to end.
Another few months went by of Jill concealing her feeling and becoming closer friends with Sahara. She still hopped that some day Sahara would learn to love her as Jill did. And then that day finally came, Jill was talking on the phone with Sahara and she was being unsually quiet.
"Is something wrong?", asked Jill in a concerned tone.
"It's nothing really," Sahara responded, "I've just had a lot on my mind recently." She paused. "Do you know what it's like to have feelings for someone that you never know will work out?"
Jill felt like she had been stabbed in the heart. How could someone that she had shown nothing but love and affection to for the past three months like someone else?!
"Yah... I kind know what you mean," Jill responded trying to hold in the anger that was building up inside of her.
"It's just... Do you promise not to say anything hurtful if I tell you about it?"
"I would never hurt you Sahara, you're one of my closest friends."
"Well Jill... I don't know really how to say this... But I like you. I like you a lot. You've shown me how much you love me and I just know that I couldn't live without you."
Jill almost fainted right there. She couldn't believe that all her dreams had come true. They talked for hours that night, planning out everything. They were going to meet up in downtown Portland the next weekend and spend their first time together as a couple.
