Cooking Mama PETA version
« on: February 10, 2009, 07:41:29 am »
Ok I found this on Sakuracon forums and I thought some people on here would like it.

I WILL WARN YOU NOW....If you know what PETA is and you like this organization you may find this a bit offensive (seeing how lots of people on this forum are very touchy)....but keep in mind, they are trying to "save" animals and they put this out there.

Omg I tryed playing that. XD It was so funny. Only cause cooking mama looked like a druggie or something.
But a little sad and makes me think PETA is a tad bit crazy >w>
But there still pretty awesome. Even though this particular game makes me a tad bit sick to even play it.

I agree with only a little bit of what they say.

Ethical treatment of animals, now it is the elimination of all animals. By neglect, or whatever....

Ban Di-hydrogen oxide! They use it in the pesticide industry, the nuclear weapons industry, etc. etc.! Speaking of Penn and Teller, I saw them go to an environmental rally and got people to sign their petition, to ban WATER!

People for the Ethical Treatment of Peanuts! That's more necessary right now, don't you think?

We seriously gotta ban that garbage. Did you know it's used in radioactive containment systems and is a common element of sewage?

just shows how people will follow anything. I was watching the second hand smoke one that also doubled as parent care and I loved how they got dads to burp at their kids to show them how to do it and wear diapers. XD

I like PETA and am pretty down with what they are for. Of course, I hate seeing the videos they make and they are absolutely shocking, but I think to some degree there are people who actually live and eat in complete ignorance and if you don't know what is going on to prepare your meals, you need to know.

That and I just love animals, and more often than not I'm feeling pretty misanthropic so I tend to side with PETA's intentions and reasoning quite regularly.

I think when you begin calling fish "sea-kittens" I am justified in calling you insane and calling kittens "land-fish."

That's all of what I'm going to say on PETA.

Aside from the fact that bacon is only good on maple bars.

I don't think they do, but there are Cap'n Crunch doughnuts, and Dirt Donuts (which are chocolate sprinkles and cocoa puffs).

Yeah, I plan to go there during Kumoricon, at least a couple times.

But back to topic: PETA! I dig 'em.

A holy bacon voodoo donut!

@ Eve; I can dig it to some extent. But...they have lost their way, as Greenpeace did before them. I guess that is where all the free money lies, eh? A sure sign your group has lost its way, they have enough cash to run a Super Bowl ad. Wow, and pay for all that lawyering up too, huh.

ohsnap did I see a mention of di-hydrogen monoxide??? That stuff is freaking deadly!!! D: My class voted to ban it a few years ago, but the system wouldn't let us.

PETA is slightly too extreme for me...Yes, I don't support abusing animals and it would be wonderful if we could live in a happy sunshine land with free range animals (at the least), but I just don't think it's very realistic at this point in time.

Eve, I just don't agree with how radical they are. They're like Jacobins! (but with animals. And in 21rst-century America.) Plus, I remember reading in various places a few years ago that the president of PETA takes medication that was tested on animals. Lolwhut?

And the dirt doughnut was really good. Sahara and I split it.  :)

Oh snap, thank you. I was actually repelled from being a vegetarian while Shay was into Peta because I didn't want to be associated with such extremists but eventually I realized that was totally dumb. And huzzah, now I don't eat meat~

-3- I've been vegitarian for 18 years (my whole life). I've tried some meat tho, and there are vegitarian substitutes that taste the same to me. The only things I give into (rarely *max. 5 times a year*) is sushi with fish in it (normally I get inari sushi, and that is vegitarian) or smoked salmonnnn *Q* I'm lactose intolerant as well -3-' but I love smoked cheeses
