O_O Tell your parents and the principal at school. That kind of behavior from others is not acceptable.

If you still have some gum in your hair, putting peanut butter on it dissolves it and makes it easier to remove

Man I hate it when people get special treatment because of sports. My advice is to make sure you don't react to their pranks, Do not explode at them, try to not cry (in front of them), Just shrug and walk away. These kinds of people do this kind of stuff to get a reaction out of you.

I didn't say anything about you having to leave.

I've been bullied as well- the best way to remedy the situation is to inform adults who are in a position of power. Principal, counselor, whatever.

If your parents tell you they want you to switch schools, tell them that you value your friends more than the cost of being bullied

Ok, are you telling the truth? Because I for one would of punched someone hard as hell if they would have torn up my paper OR gotten gum in my hair. They would have a bruise, if anything.

If you're serious, don't take it. Tell a principal or whatever, but certainly don't just ignore it. Tell them in a serious voice that if they don't stop they'll regret it, and if they don't listen, use the force of people with power or of your own two hands.

I was picked on in middle school by this weird stalker guy.
After much frustration, I ended up chasing him through the halls, beating him up xDDD

This is so sad. Definitely find some way of getting these people dealt with.

...my answer sounds kinda violent, because of my own experience at my school. XD I guess hurting them and not getting caught for it isn't the best thing I could advise...;D

But, if you need anything Kally, the people on the forums will surely be here to help. ^^

I am THROUGH with the whole "OMG I'M SO UNPOPULAR I GET PICKED AT ALL THE TIME" thing.
I have noticed that students that have "more friends" are going through just as much trouble as students with "less friends". Drama happens, friends are lost, and their parents probably treat them like crap.
If you want all this to end, then just tell a teacher or parent, instead of complaining on the forums and taking no advice.

I am not trying to come off as a bench. I'm just trying to clear things up. Maybe we're feeling sorry for you for no reason at all.

I agree. And if you're going to complain at least take the advice that's given to you instead of complaining even more  :P

Fun fact: well-liked middle school bullies often turn out to be drugged-up high school losers.

If the school authorities won't punish a student based on extracurricular activities, you either get your parent(s) to repeatedly threaten the school with legal action (they hate that!) or contact the parents of the kid. Start documenting what bullies have done, complete with dates and times. Include names and pictures of injuries (or muddy homework). If you're ever seriously physically beaten, call the police and charge that student or group of students with harrassment.

However, if you think this will lead to more bullying at school... Inform your teachers of the bullying for sure, just to let them know what's going on in your life (they really do care), and maybe even make an effort to bond with them, if possible.

Another option -- and this isn't a personal attack! >.> -- address a superficial reason for which they're bullying you (other than their own inadequacies) and, if it's changeable or you don't mind giving it up, change it. For example, I had a good friend who was picked on relentlessly for dressing 'goth', and while she could easily break their noses in defense, she just stopped wearing those clothes to school, though she still wore them on weekends. The bullying continued, but it was certainly less intense, and it was really silly to watch them try to find other things to make fun of. (They told her her hair was 'too long' - wtf? Middle school is ridiculous.)

As for me, I rode it out. Some of it was more intense than others (punches to the gut for countering an insult -- ow), some simply damaging (someone loudly daring another to ask out an ugly girl, and minutes later I'm confronted by a giggling, acne-ridden football player), but one year I cut my messy hair short and just started laughing things off. It stopped soon after that. Laughing really does help, or commenting on what they've said or done with a lighthearted attitude. It doesn't even have to be clever.

I've also heard that just telling a bully to stop is pretty effective. Or just saying, "Well, I've had enough" and moving away, as if what a bully is doing is beneath you. It apparently worked for another friend (all my closest friends were at one point outsiders xP).

Sorry for rambling. XD I can't stand bullies, and middle school is terrible enough without them. I'm glad you don't have long before high school; most people, after a few weeks in, seem to realize, "Hey. I'm really effing dumb," and it gets so much better from there.

^ This.

Most of us have had our fair share of bullying. It comes with the whole nerd package. But if you choose to deal with it or to sit around and complain about it is what makes the difference.

Well, you live on the planet earth, right?

When I was in middle school (which was only a few years ago), I lives in another state and there were a lot of people who did that. It's to be expected, sadly enough. Does that make it right? Of course not.

Fact is, though, they're just killing themselves. Try telling the vice principal.

They're always good at making people feel bad. >.>

Oh my gosh. I read through this thread. Are you taking any of the advice that has been given to you?

You're in middle school. No one knows who they are when they're that young. Even if you think you do, you don't. You don't really find yourself until you're out of school, or hit high school. People go through all kinds of phases. While they're bullies now, they might not be later on. Most kids that bully have their own personal problems. Bringing others down helps them feel better.

I wasn't ever really bullied to my face, but whenever I was, I made sure I gave them the same treatment in return. I didn't let people walk all over me. I'm just as big a nerd as most people on these threads, but I didn't let what I was into effect how others treated me.

I'm the kind of person who would let myself get picked on and picked on until a certain point and then go ballistic on their asses. :D
My mom used to call me the time bomb lol.
Noticeably, it helps when you stand up for yourself. Let them know that you can hold your own, because bullies thrive off of that power you give them through your vulnerability. Simply put, you need to not give them that satisfaction.
