I was going to wait to ask her till after sakuracon (I'm taking her car then) so she can see that I didn't wreck it and can drive to the coast just fine

I am throwing this out there. Do you have any people from the Eugene/Springfield area that are interested in attending? I can drive and carry 4 passengers with plenty of room for storage (I drive a Vibe). I probably wouldn't bother attending, unless there are people down here who really want to go, and have no way to get there. I have family in Waldport and Lincoln City, so we could leave on Friday June 12th stay over in Waldport or Lincoln City and be at Seaside on the 13th at a reasonable time without getting up real early and driving for hours. Then repeat on the way back, so we don't have to leave the fun early.

I won't say I am going for sure, unless I get some people who want to go with me. It really is to much of a drive for just me alone. If that doesn't work for anyone, I may try planning a trip to Yachats for the 4th of July. It is a great place to view the fireworks.

Hey Wuntvor If you end up going HWY 101 Mind if I catch a ride with ya? I can Bring my lappy and a few externals lol. I could meet up in WP or LC. If u get change of plans its all good not a big deal to me, I can easily drive down there. Also The 4th at Yachats is a great display, but the bast 3 years I've been at LC for there display because its closer. But yea It doesn't seem like theres a whole lot of people along the cost :-(

I am not sure I am going yet. My cosplay doesn't really work well with anyone else so I am mainly going to take pictures. I don't want to drive for 3 hours, or so just to take a few photos then turn around and drive back. If anyone else wants to go, and there is an interest in people from Eugene/Springfield or maybe Junction City (If you live in Corvallis and can get to Junction City that works as well) then I will consider going. I don't have a problem letting you join up in Waldport, but first I need at least 2 other people (preferably 3) that want to come with me to Waldport and then on to Seaside. Anyone? Oh, and dafe I will be in Waldport in a couple of weeks during Spring Break. Maybe we can get together then? Contact me.

Yep! We have 4 drivers and most of the cars are full, I am still waiting for yes or no from a couple of people. But all in all everything is turning out to be very good.

People who are bring themselves or coming with parents.... I will still need ten dollars ($10) from you when we get there or if you are if you are going to meet up with the group.... the money that you and the drivers are bring is for the pizza!

The drive seats are probably going to change in the next couple of months... so if you do not see your name in the spot you thought you had just look at the other cars ^_^

ummm I am not sure I can make a drive that far just for a day now that i looked at where we were going. I would have to drive 2 and half hours just to get to portland then another 2 hours or more just to get to seaside...

I would say put me down fro driving myself and three others. I was going to look at who I was driving and tell you who I could take from there....but.....I would say Dana and her sister, me and probably Patrick would be the best.

I just wanted to ask how the hell we are supposed to find out if it is raining three months in advance? To plan a good meet-up you need to plan it in advance. And hope that it doesn't rain, but what happens if it is predicted to rain? Are we supposed to cancel it? Or move it to another date? Even after everyone has already got the ok from parents and may have even asked for THAT day off of work.

Bitching like that is one reason why I am not going to be planing anything anymore. Because despite all the effort I put into things I have to deal with unappreciative children.

We CAN'T schedule everything around the weather. And despite the fact that it rained at the picnic didn't everyone have fun? Isn't that what matters? If you care so much about the damn weather then don't come at all, but if you do come, please don't bitch about it the whole time. That is NOT what people need or want to hear.
