Of course... let's see... I'd say get some possibly tealish or light blueish/turquoise feathers, some purple ones, and just a couple gold ones for each wing. This is a very good site for ordering, it's where I got my Yuna feathers from; http://www.rainbowfeatherco.com/index.html
Make sure to specify you want them seperated right and left feathers, the wings look better that way. You can only do that at the one pound mark, so if you get half a pound, be prepared to sort them yourself. Yuna's wings were about a half a pound of turkey flats, probably less, but I ordered the full pound to make sure I had enough for them and the feathers on the bottom of the dress. Hey, should my Amano Garnet be brown-haired or blonde? I may have a regular Garnet for pre-reg day and of course PJ Garnet for the laaaaaate nighttime, but what do you guys think? Trance Garnet is definately blonde, but Amano Garnet is originally blonde and had no hairband; no other form of her is without one, and I don't really want to get two(maybe three if I replace my current wig) new wigs. Maybe Amano Garnet with the hairband and still blonde? I dunno... I'll check to see what others have done in the past.

@ Turbo: If you have played Final Fantasy at all, you would know what I'm talking about. It isn't acting, per se, it is just playing as your character in a random battle scenario. You know how battles work in FF games, right? Well, that's all this is. Don't over-think it.

And as far as hit/misses go, this isn't really competing to win in that sense. It is just playing along, We weren't planning on keeping tabs on HP or any stats in that sense. It really is just people going through the motions for the sake of having fun as their character.

Also, are there any times people would prefer to shoot for to do this meet-up?

Yeah, as time passes I am in less and less of a hurry to get this done. I am fine with doing it next Spring or some time farther off. Definitely no rush, if people would rather wait.

I'm kind of moving on to other things at the moment, so cosplay isn't as much a priority for me anymore. We can postpone it and aim for sometime next year. That's fine with me.

xDD I'll probably have regular Garnet and Trance Garent done... maybe Amano. Dress is a given, because it's nearly done anyway. I also figured out how to trance in the middle of the battle! ^^;;

wear Trance Garnet under Regular or Amano, then run over to someone going 'UNZIP MEEEEEEEEEEE~' And pop out as Trance Garnet! xD

Yeah, I can imagine how hard and weird it would be for you to try to alternate mid-battle. They are too drastically different, I would assume.

The only issue I'd have going Trance mid-battle would be the wig; in Trance Garnet's blonde. >.< Well, if I decide to do it, I'll just have to be brown-haired Garnet. xDD

With that theme, I'd love to be Trance Steiner, but there is a general glow about the characters in trance that I don't think you can properly replicate with just materials. You'd need to have like, iridescent lights plugged into your costume, lol.

Exactly what I thought this would be. Though in my small opinion, there is no way for the battle to end. Example: Cloud and Sephiroth each take their turn attacking and the other one declares the attack a miss every time, godmodding in a rough sense. 10 turns later, Cloud lands a heavy blow on Sephiroth, but he runs away flawlessly.

So this is going to be more of a photoshoot than a game. The attacks and reactions to the attacks are just opportunities for good shots of cool poses. I understand now.
