lol, whatever.

Anyway, we are expanding, yeah there's a lot of VII cosplayers, but like I keep saying, it's not like any of us are asking for VII cosplayers, that is just the pattern of cosplayers who had showed up first.

As for non-VII cosplayers, let's see...we have: Squall, Black Mage, White Mage, Tonberry...things are branching out, so...yeah, give it time if it really bothers you, lol.

Yeah, Kahlan and I are also planning to cosplay as Laguna and Ward, not for this Mock-Battle, but for the Shoot. So, we will be wearing VIII cosplays at some point in the weekend.

Yeah, I actually try really hard to stay in character when in cosplay. That is the full experience to me, it isn't just putting clothing on, it is becoming that character. That's my take on it anyway.

heh, Being in character can be as simple as talking like them or using a phrase that the character uses. It's just about the effort and the accuracy.

I'd suggest checking out cosplay documentaries or videos on youtube. Pretty much anything that follows a professional cosplayer will give you a glimpse into what it's like to aim for this in-character mindset.

Heh, it'll be really hard to be in character for Red...Rawr, lol.
I'm the kind of person who squeaks and jumps when some surprises them.  That's why I like Chii so much, not much change.
But, I guess it's time to put all those theater classes to work.

Well, Red XIII doesn't say much at all in AC, he has one line, lol.

Red is a very solemn character, though. That is one facet of him that comes out very strongly.

No, Yuffie is pretty "regular" compared to most of the characters. She's very bubbly, energetic, happy-go-lucky. Perfect character for cosplay, heh.

But doing a humanized version of a character, people are automatically going to assume that you're going to be going for a spunky, peppy personality. It matches the humanized costume. Don't worry, nobody is going to be holding you to these weird standards, heh

Yeah, but as a Thespian it's hard not trying, I'll be probably more of a "lets do this thing" attitude, but I will probably have a tinkerbell blanket with me (there's not much to the cosplay), that'll be a sight.

Ah, I don't know what I'll do. Act mage-y I suppose? I guess I can kind of make up something since my character is so generalized and doesn't have a set personality.

Oh, I just supposed this was getting into "How we are to act during filming" ha ha. I tend to cosplay things that my personality already matches so it isn't that hard to get into character.

Yeah, that's cool. With me, I tend to just be naturally drawn to characters that already act very similar to me. Barret is just over-the-top with his blunt, forceful speech, but we're basically the same. I still try to make sure I'm in character, though.

But yeah, I'm not asking anyone to do anything for this, just do what you like, heh. We'll go over the details about the mock-battle at the pre-battle/walkthrough. I was just saying that I personally like being in character.

Side note: Rawr, I hate waiting for the cosplay chess placement for s-con, I think the waiting will kill me, heh.  And it's only been a week since the registration closed, wow impatience stinks, lol.

And Cid is totally the role model for young men. Cuss and drink, kiddies! lol

Ehhhh, Reno personality. xD I'm normally pretty random, but a lot of people are at conventions. >< I'll need to be thinking of witty things to say, since I'm cosplaying FF VII Reno. :/ A little darker than Advent Children, I think. >> Also, I need to figure out if I'm going to use the 'zo to/yo' speech thing. xD

xD It's fine! I actually didn't know until I saw it and went back and watched the movie again. When the movie's in Japanese, it's my understanding that he says "zo to" after most sentences, almost like "dattebayo" for Naruto (but cooler [/shot'd] ). They didn't do anything for this in the English dub, but a fansubbing service used "yo" in place for "zo to" in the subtitles. It just...kind of stuck. xD

Ah, so must be some degree of casual/slang dialect particle endings. Fun, heh

So does that mean you'd speak in strictly Japanese? Or would you add it to the end of English sentences? lol

Ehhh, not sure about that one yet. xD Maybe no strictly Japanese sentences JUST yet~ >> Well, I don't want to be all "YOGAIZZ. YO. WAZZUP, YO? ZO TO, YO. ....YO" all the time. o.< xD So, I think I may just have to figure out what works for me.
