I just got an email back about the VIP Badges they said that they have just finished making them and sent them out I should get mine in about a week. Very Very Happy now and not so worried.

Seems like the badges are delayed in being received, so I won't worry till a week before con if my badge is a no-show XD

I feel so lucky that I registered just before the deadline was passed. If I had even waited three more hours I wouldn't have had my badge mailed. xD

My brother and I got our badges today in the mail, and I'm super-psyched because I read the first page of this thread when I came in here and I'm like HOT DAYUM NO LANYARDS! but now I'm wondering...

My dad's badge hasn't come yet, and we registered all in one group. So- slow mail? Mailman dropped it and it'll get delivered Monday? My bro and I got our badges in the same batch of mail, practically stuck together.

And the button idea sounds absolutely adorable too- I may have to bring a Lanyard anyway.

you get lanyard at the door. Kcon does with lanyards as Scon does with badges

and now i'm going on week two of "my friend got his badge and i havent but i ordered them both at the same time."

For all the people concerned with getting one badge, but not the other:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they say they were mailing in age order on one of the previous posts, because I swear I saw that...
Ah, well... Mine hasn't come yet, and there was no reply to my E-mail. I suppose I'll just go with one of the previous methods and panic only when it's a week before the con and still hasn't been mailed.l

Badges are being mailed out in batches, and no, I'm not sure how that is being decided.

If you are concerned about your badge, and it has been more than a month, email registration@kumoricon.org with your name, when and how your ordered your badge, and they can find out for you. But please keep in mind it does take some time to process everything.

This year, we are not using lanyards to show you have checked in, but badge holders. So, if you prefer a lanyard, you might want to bring a previous one.

true. now i'm going to have a continuous dangle of badges from the 2 lanyard ones O_O
one badge is even mine i switch with someone last day at scon.

Sometimes, even if you register at the same time, your badge gets lost. Happened to me last year, but not to the person I registered with. Keep the pressure on registration; I eventually got my badge, but only after three hours spent standing in three lines to get my badge reprinted at the con. It was worth it, though.

Though I have to admit the past few days I have been watching the mail person with increased interest, haha.

And no one in my neighborhood knows about cosplay, I don't think... though, they do tend to think I'm a girl. D< *shakes fist at them* It was hilarious and slightly off-putting though: the guy who sold my sister her motorcycle was like "Oh, that's your brother? Yeah, I saw someone who looked like him on tv on American Idol, Adam or something".

... o_O; That was weird because I look nothing like Adam Lambert or whatever his name is. Otherwise, no one knows about cosplay.

I am tempted to sit on the mail box though! Sagebell, we should totally do that!! XD We can even take pictures to show the mail person's faces! Chronical the waiting process!

I live in a neighborhood full of old people. Our white trash lived in the crappy apartments (it was really this huge plantation house that was build when people still had slaves, there were the slave quarters there and everything, they put up walls and made them into apartments) down the street, which was very familiar with cops. XP
But then a few months ago they evicted everyone and burned it down to train the firemen. Was awesome to watch.
But no one knows about cosplay here either. XD
