Okay so this year is my first time going to a con (if my cousin doesn't back down on me at the last minute....) and i REALLY want to cosplay for it. but i'm not sure who to go as.
some of my friends say i should go as my oc that i really like and others say I should go as a character i like a lot, but theres too many i like @.@
someone please help me!

okay so heres a few photos of me I'm sorry that both are head shots thats the only photos i could find on the computer that are very resent. I'm a girl about 5 foot 4 maybe 5 foot 5. I'm not sure what body type i would but i'm not over weight (i think)I have a little bit of a stumack but i've been working out a lot lately so it's going away. I don't really have the greatest legs.

animes mangas and video games I like:
Kingdom hearts 2, Trigun, Excel saga ,xxxholic ,tsubasa ,cardchapters sakura, saiyuki, chobits, bleach, RE:play
thats all i can think of at the moment but if feel free to tell me any character that came to mind i don't mind ^_^

I'm not big on wigs so i'll dye my hair if i have to but i would like to stay away from being blond (nothing wrong with blond's it's just i was born with blond hair and it went brown and i don't really want to be blond again because my bangs grow in blond!)
um i'm not sure if i want to crossplay yet but i'm fine with any ideas! don't really know if i have a budget yet. and i'm pretty good at sewing and my mom is going to be helping me also and she's really good!

Okay guys, I'd like to ask a huge favor for a friend. I know who I am going as but my friend has no idea and I promised I'd help her out. She's about 5'8 and has an athletic body type. She has hair that looks like this:

I was thinking of doing something zany and making an outfit/apparatus of Balrog from Cave Story, with built in megaphone for yelling "HUZZAH!" loud enough for the whole con to hear and also a small CD player + speakers installed to play his theme song on infinite loop.

Barring that, maybe I could go as Quote instead?

I wanna cosplay as Mistral from the .hack series for one of my cosplays, definitely. ^_^ But I'm just wondering who else would suit me, since I planned on doing two. =3 Any other suggestions?

My best advice is cosplay as a character you love. I think how a person feels about the charater they are cosplaying as has a huge overall impact on the cosplay itself.

This is actually from a few years ago. My hair is much shorter at this time but should grow to shoulder length by Kumori-con. Im 5'2 1/2" My hair is all brown (atm) and I have dark red brown eyes. Im already planning on doing a female Shino thought Id get some ideas from you all for other.

I already have an Ema Skye from Apollo Justice cosplay from last year.

[budget] I think my budget might be only like… $100… after my Alto and Seth one… I have $200 for a room but… I hope it doesn’t cost that much for a room if I’m sharing with some people. Heck, I might even not stay at the hotel this year.

[donts] skimpy outfits/ slutty outfits/ over-cosplayed characters (Seriously I’ve had Yuna suggested to me waaaayy too many times)/

[other] Sewing from something that isn’t a pattern is a challenge for me. But I have help from an aunt who can make her own patterns. Also some of you like suggesting characters based on personality. As for my personality, at cons at least, I’m quiet and shy. Those I know I can be loud and annoying. I can try and stay in character but… yeah… one of those two I’d probably end up acting like.

Thanks had not thought about that(Izumi). Female Shikamaru was my cosplay for last Kumori-con. Original choice when I was thinking about it. Then thought Kiba. Shino was my third choice but I liked the outfits sooo much.

You and your boyfriend could go as Greece and Turkey (respectively) from Axis Powers Hetalia. Greece is a boy, so it'd be crossplay for you. The characters are renowned for hating each other [go here to the character intros and scroll way down] but some people ship them together... :'D
