I've asked before and only heard one idea (that I can remember... oops!) So I thought I'd post again.



My hair is a little longer and a little darker blonde now. I'm 5'9" and have a little more bust than this picture shows. I have dark grey eyes (or green/grey or brown/grey, depends on the light)

I don't mind crossplay or wigs... and I was hoping for something, I dunno, fun and awesome and easily recognizable. I haven't read or watched alot, so an image would be helpful. (but I will google it)

Maybe it was just the red headband in your pic, but I thought of Orphen from Sorcerous Stabber Orphen right away.
You might be able to pull off Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy versus XIII. The hair is definitely a different style...but that is easy to change in time. ^^

Or give Croix (X) from La Pucelle Tactics a try.

<sub>Now, I'm probably going as Elraine from Double arts (with a wig, of course), but I wanted a second opinion, as I get to make one cosplay costume a year, and I want this years to be HARDCORE.

My hair is naturally curly, but I haven't seen many anime characters with curly hair, so I expect to have to buy a wig and actually kind of like wearing them (see picture to your left--that's a wig). I really detest straightening my hair, though. So I don't think that would work, even if the color is right. My only cosplays so far have been a failure Kairi, a picture of which I will not show you, and Sakura from TRC. I prefer not to wear spandex of any sort, or short shorts/skirts. Anything else is acceptable.

What I look like :
Old, but same hair and face.
Natural hair color.
Body. (most current).

I have naturally brown hair, but I dye it black from time to time (like how it is now).
I'm 5'4", and I'm bigger-bodied (usually, I wear M-L sized clothing).
I have hazel/green/brown eyes.
I enjoy crossplaying just as much as regular cosplay. (:

I can buy a wig or purchase contacts.

So my biggest issues are that I haven't really been open to the idea of cosplay for years. I never had any idea of what was a good cosplay for me, especially since of my appearance. I mostly stayed away from other people's advice cause I've been humiliated before.
(I asked for a character that I could cosplay and someone gave me the option of Choji from Naruto cause I was fat enough, painful I tell you.)
So I would prefer not big characters cause of my self-esteem and if you guys could help me with that I would appreciate it.

Ah, I'll definately be taking advantage of this thread within the next few days. I've been racking my brain trying to think of a decent cosplay to do this year, but I don't want to go as fancy or flamboyant as I usually do because I'm working on another cosplay project for the Star Wars Celebration that requires much more attention. So I've been trying to think of something that I could toss together without much hassle as the other will be taking more of my time and money this year.

one thing I HAVE to say: I absolutely do not like Naruto. I'm sorry but my opinion is that I hate it. (its my personal opinion, I don't hate people who dress from naruto I just don't like the show)

Sewing is no problem as long as its not too complex then I'd do commision.

I've crossplayed many times... I've been Dante DMC3, Yamato (naruto) and Kakashi (toto!: the wonderful adventure)
