For some reason I thought of Susie Evans from Valkyria Chronicles.  She isn't a major character, but your picture made her pop into my head.  You may also consider Alicia Melchiott, the person she is talking to in the photos.  Alicia's hair is brown and her eyes are brown, but she is the heroine. and her bandanna makes her easy to recognize.  Susie is also in the group shot, in the back, third from the right. Um, I also have friends who could help me make simple cosplays, and I can always look for pieces at Goodwill and stuff(that place is a gold mine!). Oh! And I looooooovvvveeee buying cosplays on Cosplay.com and eBay so that's fine too but I like to keep my budget under $80 unless it's really intricate and/or detailed and nice, cuz then I may pay more.

I'm willing to do anything, as long as I'm covering most of my 'no-no' areas (mainly won't wear any less than what Envy from FMA wears)

Another you may want to consider is the main character in the latest Ghibli movie The Borrower Arrietty.  Find a red dress and some way to make a giant hair clip, your all ready.

So since I'm already waist-deep in making my own cosplay, I'm getting feedback for my best friend who has yet to decide what she should go as. She wants to be Lulu from FFX, but it couldn't hurt to get some other suggestions from the self-proclaimed experts.

She's about 5'6, large breasted and far from outright fat, but quite full-figured.

Okay guys, I've never asked about who I should cosplay as nor have I ever cosplayed but I've desperately wanted to for years.
So, I'm a female, medium/large build- by the time of the con I will be 8 months pregnant. I have blue eyes and blonde/dirty blonde hair that has glints red or gold depending on lighting. I am willing to dye it, last time I dyed it was 2+ years ago for Halloween. I am on a low budget, and I can't afford a highly elaborate costume. I can sew (though I am sadly a beginner at this) and I have a few friends who are above my skill level (like, they make dresses for fun kind of level o.o; ) who will help me.
I don't have a favorite Manga or Anime, but out of the few I have been introduced to I enjoy (Anime first)Host Club, Tales of Phantasia, and  Tokyo Mew Mew. (Manga now) The #1 Manga I have ever enjoyed was called Crescent Moon, but I also have enjoyed Nana and Model. I would not have any problems looking into new Manga/Anime series over the summer either. I enjoy adventure ones. I'm not interested in Naruto or Inuyasha as they have tired me out. x.x; I would not be interested in doing a death note cosplay but I'm thinking about looking at the series at least. The same goes for Kuroshitsuji.

Hello. I already have a couple of ideas stewing around in my brain, but suggestions are more than welcome, if you don't mind.

I'm open to anything, be it cross-playing, wigs, or whatever. Characters from anything anywhere. Looking for inspiration and ideas, will worry about the budget once I have a plan of action. Willing to do character research.

Already have plans to dress as an Aperture scientist (with a weighted companion cube, of course <3) and a classic lolita. But so far I don't have any specific characters in mind. I suppose that's where you nice people come in.

Nekovamp: I am kind of thinking Kagura from Azumanga Daioh. Especially taking into account that your hair will probably grow a bit more before the con. Perhaps Sailor Tin Nyanko from Sailor Moon? Or Yuzuriha from X (by Clamp; it's a little obscure, but she makes appearances in TsubasaRC as well)

I'm a girl - people tell me I do crossplay really well, though I think I always end up lookin' like a twelve-year-old - about 110 lbs, with fairly versatile hair and a pretty strict budget. My previous cosplays have been Gaara from Naruto (which, being my first cosplay, was awful) and, last year, the tenth Doctor from Doctor Who.
I'm looking for a costume that I can integrate a collar into, and yes, I know that my default costume is catgirl. I don't wanna be a catgirl. >.>

You could totally pull of spike, I think. Any one tall and gangly call pull him off and he's not to hard to pull together.
Also, warning? I tend to think of eleborate costumes, so I'll try to keep it simple.

In my brain (I'm definitely a gamer/comic geek over anime) you could pull off any number of Marvel/varied comic heros. I don't know if you're into any of that but spiderman (not my favorite, but you have his build), kick-a$$ (you have the hair); so on.
I desperately want to dress you up as Abe Sapian but that would take time and money that not many people have at this point (sigh)

As for video games...
YOu could pull a cool Splicer from Bioshock (not too complex); or with a little work Seifer from FFVIII; most protagonists from Kingdom Hearts given a wig. You could also do a Gajinka (or humanized) version of a whole host of game icons. Daxter from Jak and Daxter comes to mind, but anything like a moogle or chocobo is always fun.

and pardon me for the total geek-out, but you look a lot like Hiccup from "How to train you're dragon". If you had an Astrid or something, that would be so bomb I can't even say.


Anywho, I don't know if any of those appeal to you, but that's what I got. Good luck and enjoy Con. It's an unearthly atmosphere yet insanely fun! Cheers!

@ Catmegan: If you can mess with your hair enough, you could totally pull off Naru from Love Hina. (Those two little strands at the top of her hair might be nightmare though.)



@ leadpoppy (Poppies... Yes, Poppies! (sorry, I'm a Wizard of Oz geek. ) If you want to go with well-known, I suggest Arisa from Fruits Basket. If you're into "playing" your role when you cosplay, Arisa would be awesome since you get to threaten to pummel everyone to death as the slightest hint of offense.



Also, Arisa will be a lot better if you can find a Saki to go with you.

@ Mizuki: Uh... I can't really think of anything besides Alice Margatroid from Touhou Project. But she's pretty fun. I mean, she's a magician and makes dolls do her bidding. Although, as a note, she is perceived as a yuri character by some people, but that is based off fandom and not the actual canon so perceive that how you will.
