I used to sew by hand, but haven't for years and years. I want to reteach myself, but I haven't had the time/motivation.

Not from what I remember. I mean, when I used to hand-sew I would do it on small projects, like plushies. If I did it on a costume, though, I imagine that would just be ridiculous, take waaay too long.

i used to sew by hand while making teddy bears. just little simple ones. but that was before i even knew what that contraption called a sewing machine was. and i don't find it weird. she just gives me a guilt trip. even though i said i could do it myself. or get someone to do it for me. but she wouldn't shut up about it.

Sadly I buy my costumes cause I'm not super great at sewing or following patterns...I prolly will start making costumes as soon as I buy a dressform however because no one in my family is my size D:

But when I do alterations I do a bit of both

I have forced myself to quit trying to lose my gut by Kumoricon. I keep stumbling into hindrances that have kept me from working out consistently, and beating myself up over it is only extremely self-destructive.

Two weeks ago I had this ALL planned out.
Y'know if people just LET the obsessive-planner-lady take over stuff, this wouldn't happen to me.

I know how you feel. Last year I went through a lot of the same. Having way too many people in one room can do that. It's hard to get six or seven people on the same page without using force, lol.

Again, I know exactly how you feel, DS. My regular facial expression looks totally angry to others too.

But don't worry, things will even out! Do not let this thing ruin Kumoricon for you! This only comes once a year, and minor complications are so not worth missing the good aspects of this for. Like, last year I could have focused on some negative aspects of the con, but I didn't want to ruin all of it. So don't worry, just look past it and remember why you love Kumoricon in the first place.

I've always hated the dentist, and what's worse was the day I got my wisdom Teeth taken out... It's not fun when you get them yanked the day before Halloween, and than go to a Halloween party...

I was out when they took mine out. I was ready to have a friend spend the night that night (and she did). Mine was really painless. And normally I am not happy when I go to the dentist to have work done but I found that laughing gas and Novocain are your best friend XD. The gas really made the difference. It felt like I was dozing in and out of sleep the whole time :3

it was painless for me, and they nocked me out to... Because the only things I remember is passing out at the dentists office, than waking up about 5 hours later, with a shake from jack in the box next to me while I was laying down on a couch in the living room... But the reason it sucked was because I had to deal with it during halloween, at my friends party, and then my stitches fell out that night.

Mine was a week before the prom and my parents were going to let me stay at a friends house, they knew there would be drinking but I had to come home because my mouth was hurting. It didn't hurt at all the first few days, then it started to x.x

no, I was given novocane because they were removing my wisdom teeth... But I don't know how it works for braces, so you probably don't have anything to worry about.
