I've been trying to think of something fun to do for my third cosplay and *BAM* I realized that this is the perfect time to finally do a Gijinka outfit!!! =]

So I took the wigs I have and looked through the pictures and realized that I could do Leafeon really easily. I already have the base of the wig and a perfect pair of boots, so the rest should be somple enough. I'll post pics after I find a good base dress and start to make some progress. The only small problem is that my wig doesn't really have the flip to it that it should, but money is tight so I'm just gonna deal for now XD

Can't wait to see everyones progress up until Con!!!! =D

@ Dubaby- I've told a couple of my friends this that I got to cosplay Gijinka, you can change anything about the character art you want and you'll still be accurate. These are just fan creations so you can add and take off whatever you want for the characters. I ended up changing on the vine on Victreebels head looked because I liked it on the Pokemon better. Anyways, glad to have you aboard~

@Zacky- That looks fantastic! I want to take pictures with you~ We can be sex-ay Rocket Pokemanz together.

Welcome Dubaby!!! And yes, Boogie is totally right, Gijinkas aren't just by that one artist's book. Heck, mine isn't even the same Bulbasaur by any means. XD;

PICTURE! (wait a second, I'm updating on deviant. This could take a minute):

It wasn't quite perfect when I put it in the drier, so the ink splattered on the pink part *pouty face*. But it's all ok, because I'll be bleaching it to perfection anyways!
(Yes, the dress is store-bought, and nowhere near perfect, but I think it turned out well)
+ Those are not it's straps. Those are me bra straps, and I will be wearing a strapless when I actually wear this, just didn't feel like changing.

an old crappy headband, straws, hot glue, paper mache, and spray paint.
Just need to spray paint it, and I'm good.

Then all I need is the wig, and corsola is finnished!

I'm so excited! We have a Leafeon~ I have my other Gijinka to pose with <3

I'm planning on going to the Aug 22nd meeting if my Glaceon costume gets here by then, I have to wait till the 5th to order it (that's payday) I have Kumori-chan finished, I could bring her along too. Her umbrella looks so rad :3 So I can bring to wig then, either as Glaceon or Kumori-chan~

Oh yeah, I was the Ichigo Mew Mew (oh god, never put me back in that costume again.).

I finished my corsola headband, and I think it looks great!
(No posting pictures yet, I'm waiting until I have the whole costume together).
Tomorrow I'll go to the local halloween shop, and get some gloves. Also tomorrow, I'll bleach my dress. Ah whatever, I'll do it tonight.

This is a little late but - *runs over and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs Doofer* Good riddance, I say. And I offer my over-protective-self-appointed-brother services to you if the need ever arises!

Meanwhile - still sewing. It's slow going though because I'll be in the kitchen (the only place the sewing machine and pinning board can go) for 20 minutes and just be sweating to death because it's so hot, so I run into the living room where our 'fan central' (3 fans in one room is awesome) is so I can cool/dry off. Sloooow goin's.

Okay I need you guys' opinion on what to do for the Masquerade.... I have a dress that I think would be PERFECT to use as a sort of formal Leafeon. The only problem is that since it's my old prom dress it's REALLY long, and as cool as it would be to dress as Leafeon for the Masque, I'm afraid that I won't be able to dance well. I have another dress that I can wear instead but if I do then it won't be as a cosplay or anything.

What do you guys think is a better idea? Cool Leafeon formal that is hard to move in, or non-cosplay dress that is easier to dance in?

Lots of people don't cosplay for the Masquerade.

I personally think you should do Leafeon in formal wear. It'd be cute and a lot cooler than just a pretty dress, as an Otaku I thoroughly appreciate original costumes. So my vote is for leafeon formal wear!

I say formal Leafeon as well. The dress it really pretty, I would have loved to wear something like that to prom! But I was a cheap ass and bought all my stuff at Ross, haha. The beading is really nice though, if they are leaf shaped that would make your costume more excellent.

Got an email a few moments ago that my fangs arrived in the mail~ I'm so excited!!!! I want to do a make up test and show off my fangs but I have too much homework tonight (4 pages of sketches due by tomorrow!!!! I really need to start managing my time better) Maybe tomorrow though.

Okay, Formal Leafeon it is!!! And yes, the beading is done in a sort of vine detail which is what made me think to use it aside from just the color...

In other news, got my green hair piece, dress, nails, and eyelashes today!!! might try to get a pic up of my outfit so far on the progress boards tomorrow... All I have left is the tail and ears and I'm finished =]

Yay! Didn't get a chance to post but I agree on the formal Leafeon dress. ^^

Leafeon is close to my heart because growing up with the original 151 I aaaaalways wanted a grass eeveelution - a decade later out popped Leafeon! Not quite what I imagined but still awesome none the less, haha.

Me and my friend made up our own, that we just so happened to name it leafeon.
Then, a month later they come out with leafeon, who was much less awesome than the drawing we made.
