Oh! if that doesn't work, try hair gum. I find it better than wax because it looks natural.

@Osla
I think your idea for the pointy hair could work.

The only other idea I have is to make one little ponytail from the two sides...
  \ /
   o
 (;D)

like Pebbles Flintstone, and use hairgel from the roots to the rubberband.
When it dries, Undo the rubberband and part hair carefully.
  ^^
 (;D)

hairspray the rest into the right shape. Use folded notecards to hold it up while the hairspray dries.
((awful "pictures" but I can't think of how else to explain it))

Anyone know how I can style Nayuki's pointy bang things into my wig? I'm thinking maybe folding two dense paper triangle things and hot gluing wig fibers to them, then clipping them to the wig or something but second opinions would be appreciated

hold the section of hair you want to stnad up for the pointing thing up and use hair spray on the hair closest to the wig... in the end after a few trys of so you'll het what hair you want stading up and the other loose hair able to move around like normal hair should

I was wondering if anybody knew a good place to get a wig for Mori (from Ouran High School Host Club). I have never bought a wig before, so I don't know where to buy one, nor do I really know what style to get for him.

Thanks

Wig update for the Paper Sisters!
-Sora wig: wasn't able to fix the spikes on the wig D: washed out the old wig, styling it for a temp wig until enough money is gathered to buy a new wig to style...the temp one is too dark
-Yuna wig: i got the part on the correct side, i just need to fix the bangs a bit and add that flippy thing on the left side
-Tamaki wig: still not styled D< it sucks because this one needs to be styled on my head and I do not trust Sora with scissors near my head
-Roxas wig: still looking beautiful!
-Tsunade wig: ...REALLY needs a longer, fuller one, lack of money...
-Kaien wig: in it's bag lol
-Marluxia wig: we need the long scruffy one from cosworx or something very similar D: but they don't have it in stock in the color we want...and we don't have money
-Nekozawa wig: i dun think it needs to be styled ouo
-zero wig: in a bag haha

You could always just try either the Edward or Star wigs available at Cosworx if you are really that adverse to cutting your wig. This way you would just have to get some styling glue and spike it out a bit. I don't have any experience styling short wigs so sorry if this isn't much help... =/

So I just ordered my first wig (I kind of forgot to do research before hand, so I just went with my gut instinct on which looked the best)
But I want to know what you guys think I'll be getting into with this wig
http://cgi.ebay.com/C62-Brand-new-hair-long-wavy-pink-Wig_W0QQitemZ230430456704QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions?hash=item35a6b9bb80

I'm cosplaying louise from zero no tsukaima. I'm doing her regular version as well as this version
http://media.photobucket.com/image/louise%20lolita/fire-head/6b569d286d4f2fc1aad85a4d25f964b6.jpg
what would be the best way to add the hair accessories?
oh, and should I try cutting the bangs, or just leaving them as they are?

Also, I have semi-long hair, but I figured since the wig is also long it wouldnt be too much of a problem. How do you recommend putting up long hair under a wig?
(here is my hair, and it might actually a bit longer now)

for the whole putting hair up thing i recremend geting thouse snap hair clip things that some use as pins to hold down fabric... i dont remeber what they are called xD. seperate your hair like your going to put it up in pigtails. take one section and twist it up and around to the opisite side of the head and hair clip into place. repeat with the other side. then take the thigh part of an old pair of tights or nylons and cut them across so you have a 10-12 inch leg piece. pull that over your hair and then pull on a wig cap! no lumps!

That is an interesting way to deal with hair....it is nice having short hair. I got my new Kuja wig yesterday and it was so easy to put my hair in the wig cap and have no bumps. I just shoved it all under there. I think I will slick it back come con time then put on a wig cap to make sure not of it falls out :D

To stay on topic. I need to straighten part of the Kuja wig. I tried a flat iron on a small bit of the extensions they sent me (for not having the wig in stock when I ordered it) and it didn't work (some wigs you can use a flat iron others you cant) Is there any other way other than the hot water method to straighten a wig? It is a small piece and I don't want the rest to straighten out too much.

I only know of the low-setting straightener and hot water mehtods (I prefer the straightener method) sorry D:

Hmmm~ Not much wig progress. I need to find a nice base wig for Neptune sometime.

I'm cosplaying Sakutaro from Umineko, and I'm not quite sure how to do the wig. Basically its yellow in the front and orange in the back. Reference

I was thinking i could buy two wigs, cut the lace thing and sew them together, but I'm not sure if it would work. or there's sharpie dying, but I'd rather not mess with that.
anyone seen any tutorials/ have had experience with something like this? help would be awosme. Thanks~

I've yet to use FW ink but I will be very soon to dye my Neptune wig. When I get the ink I'll post pictures and tell you how it went~

As for sharpies, they shouldn't get on anything as long as you rinse it in water after you're done.

I'm trying to find a good, medium length, blonde wig I can use for Vexen's hair from Organization 13. But every time I search it up, I get these super duper long wigs. Should I buy a long hair wig and just cut it to the length I want?
