And you feel nothing that there are men with bigger breasts than you'll ever own, unless you buy some upgrades too?

What about Rocky Horror?

Is Darcelle's still open, my mom liked going there to have her birthday parties.

They still seem like men, or something, as they don't turn me on as would real women. But they do entertain. THen there are the amateurs who only act as drama queens, and have rolling hissy fits all over town, making your night miserable by their being around.

Rocky horror...I wouldn't consider drag queen. I know he calls himself a transvestite but he doesn't dress completely like a woman. But damn that man can sing!<3

There are a lot of drag queens at the club I go to. It REALLY hurts when they step on your feet with their huge heels when you're dancing, though.

But they always seem to compliment me on my outfit, hair, or makeup. Haah.

Whaddya mean he isn't a drag queen, just a transvestite? Aren't they synonymous? He's wearing lipstick, make-up, stockings, heels, a bustier, everything except out garments. I would put Dr. Scott in your category, of the not quite, he is only wearing heels and hose. lol

He's just a sweet transvestite, from Transsexual, Transylvania, uh-huh!

I think I recognize those photos. If I'm right that it's the Hult Center library, then those must've been from the most recent Damsels, Divas, and Dames, the annual elaborate drag queen fundraiser for charity. They did one for White Bird one year when I worked there! This year it was for HIV Alliance. I recognize those gals from She Bang, I used to see them at Neighbors (and even took my developmentally disabled client there who was also a drag queen). There used to be drag king open mics as benefits for the Against Patriarchy convention when I was part of that collective years ago. There are the Eugene Drama Kings, but I haven't heard of them performing in awhile. I interviewed a queen named Joan Jett Blakk from Chicago, who ran a mock-campaign for president to call attention to prejudices and whatnot, years ago. Priscilla is a very fun film. There's a documentary called Paris is Burning which shows the female impersonator competitions in categories such as "realness" at a club that is mostly African-American and other queens of color (if I recall correctly) in constituency. A lot of voguing in it. Set in New York. One of the most progressive aspects of the anime con community, imho, is the widespread comfort with crossplay by both men and women, and recognition that it can be simply fun without having to be any kind of political statement or sexual thing.

I saw RuPaul live, along with gay music icons Tracy Chapman and Melissa Etheridge, at a GLBTQ rights march in DC. All great performers. You better work! LOL.

If a girl dates a drag queen does that mean she likes girls or guys? I love how drag queens blur gender lines :D

well crossplayers are the same thing. I mean they don't have to like the same gender. they can like the other, they just like dressing up as the opposite gender.

I think it must have been a phase for Eddie, as I haven't seen him wear women's clothing since that show. I now usually see him with a beard, but then he is acting in a film. He does pretty good bad @ss types, as well as be very funny.

In Eddie's own words

"I'm a complete boy plus half a girl"

Yeah, I was really used to seeing him in drag and then he popped up in the Aristocrats with that crazy beard - as far as I know he still crossdresses

Not necessarily true.  I've met crossplayers who are very serious about their work, and queens who just do it for fun.
