one of the steps is to paint a layer of glue to the underside of the armor and then lay a piece of fabric onto the glue to give it stability and help it keep its shape. you can repeat that step a few times for more stability.
Once that's done you can attach it to yourself or clothes if you want. I used snaps for my shoulder armor.
