Cosplay Cabaret
Amai Suppai
Introducing Amai Suppai Maid Cafe, a PDX-based startup Maid Cafe hoping to open up a permanent location in Portland, Oregon! They aim to take inspiration from traditional Akihabara maid cafes, mix in some of their own sweet and sour playful fun, and bring a unique experience that will bring cuteness and Otaku culture to their home city! They can't wait to take the stage as your MCs for the Cosplay Cabaret this year!
Cosplay Lip Sync Showdown and 18+ Lip Sync Battle
Uptown Cosplay
Uptown Cosplay has been a cosplayer since 2012 and a performer for even longer, combining their passions for costuming, acting, and dance to bring characters to life. Through engaging stage work in panels, events, and performances, they have become best known for their immersive in-character work and entertaining lip syncs. As a believer in making cosplay accessible and enjoyable to all, Uptown hosts informational workshops on their craft, has helped found multiple lip sync events in the Pacific Northwest, and shares their convention experiences online so that any audience can also enjoy the things they love.
Momma Sammu

A Portland native and local “Con-Mom”, Momma Sammu has been cosplaying and performing for over 18 years, and attending conventions their whole life. Since their first Kumoricon in 2006, Sammu has enjoyed finding ways to blend their love of fandom and their “theater kid” tendencies, leading them into many cosplay skit competitions and “just a few years” of cosplay chess. In 2017, Kumoricon asked Sammu to start a new lip sync event and, with the help of their Co-Host Uptown Cosplay, the “Cosplay Lip Sync Showdown” was born. In their nearly 2 decades as part of this community, Sammu has done their best to create open and welcoming spaces for anyone interested in cosplay and, while not perfect, is extremely proud of the community they’ve seen grow around an event they helped start
18+ Lip Sync Battle
RedPandaKai
All the way from San Antonio, TX, is the return of Kai Lockhart, also known as RedPandaKai! A cosplayer as well as drag performer who loves to entertain and make the audience laugh, they're back again as a host for the 18+ Lip Sync! Though originally from the PNW, they love coming back to continue spreading the love of drag and cosplay, pushing gender norms, as well as playfully confusing the general public! But overall, a well-rounded performer and cosplay oddity!
Idol Festival
Bird
Bird (@churudoll) is an idol and cosplayer from the Pacific Northwest who has been cosplaying since 2018! This friendly feathered idol is also a full-fledged winged wota, dedicating herself to support her “oshis” with penlights in hand! When she isn’t cheering for idols or performing, she’s sewing or crafting for hours on end! Bird is driven to inspire and support others in following their dreams, hoping that she can connect the world in the process! But no matter your ambition, she will always be cheering you on every step of the way!
