Meetings

Kumoricon holds monthly meetings where staff, volunteers, and interested members of the public gather face-to-face and share news about the planning of Kumoricon. These also serve as official meetings of the Altonimbus Entertainment membership at which any business can be voted on.

If you are considering joining staff or becoming a volunteer, attending any meeting is a great way to learn more and get started! All membership meetings are open to the public.

At the annual meeting of the membership held a few weeks after each convention, the members elect the Chair and department Directors for annual terms.

Next meeting

Official notice has not yet been given for the next membership meeting. This space will be updated once notice is given. The expected schedule is listed below under "Upcoming meetings".

Meeting participation

Current staff, potential staff, and any other members of the public are welcome to attend membership meetings.

If you have news to report during an upcoming membership meeting, you can email it to good.of.the.order@kumoricon.org.

For meetings that are held online: In order to officially count toward quorum and vote, members (staff) will need to have a personal account on either Discord or Twitch, and register their account identifier by listing it on the staff management personal details form. Other than listing your account in your personal details, you don't need to do anything else in advance.

• Official member participation on Discord will take place in designated channels in the public Discord server.
• Official member participation on Twitch will take place in the chat associated with Kumoricon's live video stream.
• In order to officially participate, members must "sign in" to count for quorum.
• Members may "sign in", vote, and otherwise participate by interacting with the official Kumoricon bot using the instructions provided by the bot or posted in the chat. In the event of technical difficulties with the bot, alternate instructions for participation on each platform will be provided.
• Official participation actions will be verified against registered account listings to ensure the participant is a member.
• Members who are unable to effectively participate using the above processes may contact us at staff.discord@kumoricon.org and a reasonable effort will be made to provide an alternate communication channel.

Upcoming meetings

Meetings usually start at 1:00pm Pacific Time. We attempt to stick to the planned schedule, but dates are subject to change prior to setting a venue and giving official notice for each meeting.

Terminology note: In October, 2022, the term "general meeting" was retired, as part of a bylaws amendment on several topics. Our preferred term is now "membership meeting". The titles for meetings going forward from this amendment reflect this change.
